Keynorth has extensive experience with the preservation and restoration of traditional buildings and in dealing with Historic Scotland and the Local Authority Conservation Departments.

Our defects diagnostics skills coupled with our in-depth knowledge of traditional construction techniques allow us to offer comprehensive advice to owners and tenants of historic buildings.

Our experience and knowledge of traditional building repair techniques is extensive. Our Project Services have included: re-roofing baronial mansion houses, refurbishing the exterior of Victorian tenements and town-houses, refurbishing the interiors and external fabric of Victorian villas, restoring the masonry of multi-storey Edwardian and Victorian city centre commercial buildings, banks, post offices, hospital buildings and other public buildings.

Detailed Planning and Listed Building or Conservation Area Consent applications can be made and advice on securing repair grants can be provided.

Clients regularly engage Keynorth to provide Project Services following a survey and assessment of a traditional and historic building, and to project manage appropriate works through the planning and implementation stages.
